Research notes on science, new technologies, artificial intelligence, startups & the Web

Welcome back, traveller. After many years offline, this site has been recovered from the archives of the early Internet and restored to working order — so that the research may continue.

About This Site

The Neuroprosthesis Research Organization began in the late 1990s as an independent research notebook: a place to document how machines, networks and minds were starting to connect. The original pages are gone, but the mission is not. We have restored this domain from the old times to continue doing what it always did — studying new technologies and reporting what we find, in plain words, on a plain page.

Today our research covers artificial intelligence and machine learning, the modern Web and the infrastructure beneath it, science and emerging hardware, and the startups trying to turn all of it into something useful. We read the papers, test the tools, follow the money, and write it down.

No pop-ups, no tracking circus, no infinite feeds. Just research notes, published as they are finished, the way the old Web used to work. Bookmark us and visit often — the information presented here will be continuously updated.
